Co-operation and sustainability: the way forward -- CCA Congress 2010

Held in partnership with the British Columbia Co-operative Association,  the Canadian Co-operative Association's 2010 National Congress will be one of the foremost learning and networking events  for the Canadian co-operative movement.
 
Join leaders from co-operatives and credit unions across the country and around the world in exploring, learning and strategizing on:

  • How can co-ops and credit unions strengthen their foundations for sustainability?
  • Why are co-ops and credit unions more sustainable than other forms of business?
  • What role can and do co-ops and credit unions play in environmental sustainability?

What you won't want to miss:

  • Half-day tour of local co-ops and credit unions in the Vancouver area
  • Welcome reception and Gala Dinner
  • One full day of thought-provoking keynote addresses and engaging workshops
  • Presentation of the Canadian Co-operative Achievement, Global Co-operator, Co-operative Governance and BCCA Distinguished Co-operator Awards
  • Annual General Meetings of the Canadian Co-operative Association and British Columbia Co-operative Association

Monday, June 14

  • Afternoon tour of local co-ops and credit unions
  • Welcome reception with remarks by Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson (invited)

  Tuesday, June 15

  • CCA Annual General Meeting (morning)
  • BCCA Annual General Meeting (afternoon)
  • Gala Dinner and awards ceremony

  Wednesday, June 16

  • Opening and closing keynote addresses including Stefano Zamagni, pre-eminent co-operative economic and author of The Cooperative Enterprise
  • Morning and afternoon workshop sessions
  • Lunch-time presentation of the Co-operative Governance Awards

        
Registration fees start at $450 (plus GST) for CCA members and $600 (plus GST) for non-members.  Registration opens in early 2010.
