We are looking for a Student Intern - ideally with an interest in organizational development - to assist with organizing a process through which NCBA [0] will lead the planning for events celebrating the United Nations' International Year of Co-operatives in 2012. This will involve tracking and communicating with a diverse and potentially large number of participants from throughout the U.S.
Essential Areas of Responsibility:
- Respond to and forward inquiries.
- Manage record-keeping for committees.
- Assist with planning committee structures and communications channels.
- Assist in developing and organizing documents regarding IYC.
- Attend meetings of internal working group.
- Research fund-raising opportunities, support fund-raising drive.
Skills and Experience:
- Ability to follow directions; attention to detail
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word; Access experience preferred.
- Good organizational, research and writing skills;
- Enjoys interacting with people; pleasant manner
This unpaid position will last for approximately three months, up to 20 hours a week, starting by early June 2010. School credit must be coordinated by the student.
