Youth and Cooperatives: Priority Areas for the United Nations

As an organization that is often perceived as the representative of the youth cooperative movement in North America, NASCO is delighted that the United Nations has officially proclaimed both Youth and Cooperatives as priority areas for the international community. The UN recently passed two major resolutions: 2010 will be the International Year of Youth and 2012 will be the International Year of Cooperatives.

NASCO Member Co-op Spotlight: Lucy Stone Co-op

For many religious liberal and activists, there is a difference between what we want the world to look like and the way that we are actually able to live our lives.  Faith communities and housing cooperatives are two powerful places that people can find support in making the daily decisions to live more in line with their values.  To that end, we are forming a faith-based coop in Boston.
