Multiply & Mobilize: A Webinar Series hosted by AORTA

Date:
Thursday, March 30, 2017 to Thursday, May 25, 2017
Three sessions designed to support organizers, activists, facilitators, and movement-builders in deepening their analysis of the current political moment and gaining strategies for strengthening our movements from local to national levels.

Each month, AORTA will host a 90 minute webinar on the Multiply & Mobilize theme, which will explore movement history through our losses and our wins, the reorganization of the state and the systems of white supremacy, patriarchy, and capitalism in response to movement building, and the strategies, narratives, and tactics that work to sustain movements and build the world we wish to see.

In partnership with these 90 minute webinars, participants will receive a packet of readings and resources that will help you prepare for and reflect on the webinars, as well as host local discussions around the content of the webinars.

Additionally, all participants will be added to a private Facebook group designed to encourage supported conversations amongst activists and organizers who are working on these issues in a variety of geographical, economic, and racial contexts. Within the facebook group, we will host monthly live Q&As to workshop questions related to specific campaigns and organizing methods.

AORTA strongly enourages you to sign up with a buddy or a group of other folks you organize with, so that you can take these conversations offline and into your everyday organizing work. However, if you participate on your own, there will be opportunities to network online with fellow organizers!
Post-webinar resources will include discussion guides for you to use in locally organized events.

Hosted by the Anti-Oppression Resource & Training Alliance (AORTA) With Manju Rajendran, Lydia Pelot-Hobbs, Marc Mascarenas-Swan, Autumn Brown and guests.
