National Train the Trainers: Cooperative Entrepreneurship Retreat

Do you work, live, play or shop at a co-op? Do you wish your community had more cooperatives? Do you like organizing events and sharing your skills? Learn how to be a cooperative development educator (i.e. teach others how to start co-ops) through the Traveling Cooperative Institute's National Train the Trainers: Cooperative Entreprenuership Retreat from February 12 – 14 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At Train the Trainers, you will:
    •    Learn cooperative history, philosophy and best practices
    •    Try out democratic decision-making practices and assessing community needs
    •    Develop skills in workshop facilitation and coaching
    •    Dig into the nuts and bolts of the cooperative development process
    •    Leave ready to facilitate workshops on how to a start a co-op in your home community

This training retreat is geared toward young adults in their late teens to early thirties living across the U.S. Group lodging is available from the 12th through to the 15th. Travel stipends are available for participants living outside of the Twin Cities. Funding priority is given to individuals from rural or rural-serving areas.

Cost: sliding scale registration of $25 for individuals and $50 or more for attendees sponsored by an organization. Registration includes food and lodging for the three-day retreat.
