Job Overview: This is a limited contract position to implement the Students’ Cooperative Strategic Recruitment Plan. The Membership, Recruitment, and Social Media Coordinator will perform member recruitment and promotional efforts, with the goal of welcoming 29 new co-op resident members to the renovated building in August, 2023. Activities will include advertising to prospective members, posting on social media, hosting in-person events, conducting email campaigns, distributing promotional materials, and processing membership applications according to a predefined set of criteria. The Membership and Recruitment Coordinator will broadly serve as the face and spokesperson for the Students’ Co-operative, both in-person and on social media. The ideal candidate is organized, task-oriented, and flexible; has a general knowledge of Fair Housing practices, affordable housing, cooperatives, and/or the history of the Students’ Co-operative; lives in or is able to commute to the Twin Cities; and is comfortable responding to challenging questions that may arise about 2020-2022 events at the Students’ Co-op.
