Back-end Wordpress Developer Job Description
Foundation for Intentional Community
The Foundation for Intentional Community is seeking a skilled Wordpress developer to join our team and help build a new version of the FIC website and communities platform.
The FIC is a 32-year-old organization and a mainstay of the intentional communities movement. The organization is currently restructuring to focus more on providing streamlined, effective ways for those looking for communities to find them online. Our dedicated IT team is going to turn the current FIC Wordpress site into a beautifully-functioning, high performance digital platform for connecting people and communities.
This role will involve working with staff developers and other contractors to customize plugins, build custom components, and integrate site-wide payment and user account features into the new platform. Strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL fundamentals and Wordpress architecture is essential. Kindness, accountability, and enthusiasm for the values of intentional community are also essential!
Please send a cover letter describing why you would like to work for the FIC, resume, and links to three code samples you’re proud of to firstname.lastname@example.org.
