Get Involved!

NASCO is a member organization which thrives on your involvement.  Here are ten ways you can get involved or deepen your involvement with NASCO and the cooperative movement.

1.  Attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) brings together representatives from all member organizations as well as individual members of NASCO. The AGM serves to advise the Board, establish communications between cooperatives across the continent, and help set the direction for the organization and the student cooperative movement as a whole. The AGM meets once a year at the NASCO Institute held each November in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Anyone can attend the  AGM, but only members may vote.

2.  Become a Member
NASCO’s membership is directly responsible for major events in the life of the organization, including Board elections and bylaw changes.  As members,  [brief info about member benefits here, and link to member benefits page]

3. Vote in the Spring Election
Active, Associate, and Individual members may vote on proposals and board candidates in the Spring election. Check out our nominations and election pages for more info.

4.  Run to be a NASCO Director

5.  Attend Caucuses at NASCO Institute

6.  Serve on a Board Committee

7.  Apply for a cooperative internship

8.  Organize a regional conference
