Brief Description of Organization:
Carolina Common Enterprise is North Carolina's cooperative development center. We provide cooperative and community development guidance and technical assistance for new and existing co-ops across the state, particularly in marginalized communities. We work to create an ecosystem of support for co-ops and other community enterprise in the Carolinas and across the South.

Internship Position Title:
Cooperative Development Intern
Internship Position Duties:
Cooperative Development Intern will assist CCE program staff with specific cooperative projects and ecosystem efforts. Such tasks are likely to include business plan research, attending meetings with co-op clients, event planning and outreach, and continuing statewide co-op census information gathering. We could also use help with our website & social media.
Position Training:
Training as-needed for CCE information systems, business research. Introduction to CCE's Sociocracy governance/organizational method.
Skills Development & Learning:
The Intern will have opportunities to learn business planning, financial projections, governance methods, and other enterprise development skills depending on Intern's abilities and interest. Intern will have contact with different types of co-ops, including agricultural producer, worker/industrial, grocery, and hybrid models.

Shared office space with staff; Some driving.
