Basic Info:

The HAUS Project was formed in late 2010 to provide affordable, sustainable, cooperative housing in the accessible, urban core of the Houston region within close proximity of Houston’s growing light rail transit system. We have two houses. The first house, Rosalie, opened on January 1, 2011 in Midtown and has ten rooms. The 2nd house, uRth, was opened one year later a mile south of Rosalie, and has 14 rooms. Our organization is relatively young, so much of our energy is put into development and maintaining a fun and healthy inter-relationship among our members. We are currently working towards purchasing both houses from the property owner.

Roughly 5 hours of labor each week. Positions include: dinner chef, dinner clean, commons clean, bathroom cleans, laundry, trash/recycling, garden/grounds, maintenance, treasurer, trustee, board rep, membership, kitchen manager, and other duties we see fit for the current membership.
