The NASCO Low-Income Scholarship Fund supports low-income emerging co-op leaders who would otherwise be unable to attend NASCO Institute by offsetting their registration fees ($285–$500, depending on membership status) and travel expenses ($50–$400).
This program helps NASCO create a more economically and geographically diverse group of attendees by supporting youth from remote locations, BIPOC-led and developing co-ops, and cooperators without organizational or institutional support.
We keep the overall cost of the Institute as low as possible through generous partnerships: local co-ops provide free solidarity housing, student organizations help us access affordable campus facilities, and presenters donate their time and expertise. Registration costs are also subsidized for members through NASCO’s membership dues system.
Still, many scholarship recipients come from small or developing co-ops that are not yet members of NASCO and cannot fund training on their own.
Any amount you give to the Low-Income Scholarship Fund will directly increase access to the Institute, promote leadership development, and support the future of the cooperative movement.
Whatever the amount, we deeply appreciate your support.
