Roberta Giordano

Roberta Giordano holds a Bachelor in Science in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management with an emphasis in Global Environmental Politics from the University Of California, Berkeley (UCB). Born and raised in Rome, Italy, she has spent most of her life working as a grassroots organizer in the fields of social and climate justice. During the last 5 years, she helped students organize across California around environmental justice issues. In 2012 she co-founded the Student Environmental Resource Center at UCB, and in 2013 she co-founded Students Against Fracking. She is actively involved with legislative advocacy in California to halt extreme oil and natural gas extraction, as well as efforts to expand US academic curriculums to include cooperative education. She currently serves as Development Associate at the Student Environmental Resource Center where she focuses her efforts in expanding the center’s financial budget, as well as integrating sustainability in the University academic curriculum. Furthermore, Roberta co-facilitates a peer-to-peer course at UCB on cooperative enterprises.
