Housing
There is some free housing available at most SCHA co-ops. To opt-in to this housing, please indicate your interest when you register online. Housing will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. Accommodations are generally on floors and couches, so bring a sleeping bag and towel! (If you arrive without securing housing, consider bringing some camping gear and we can try to find you a place to stay at our off-campus houses.)
How To Get Here
Registration will take place at the Tri-Cooperatives, which are on the UC Davis campus. To route your GPS here, use the address: 500 Regan Hall Circle, Davis, CA 95616.
By Train
The Davis Station is served by four Amtrak lines and can be reached from many places in California and on the West Coast, though it is one of the more expensive options. If you choose to use the train, you can walk to the Tri-Cooperatives (a little over a mile), take a taxi or lyft, or use a Unitrans bus (Z line to Memorial Union).

Parking
Parking is very limited in front of the Tri-Cooperatives, and is enforced 7 AM - 10 PM, Monday - Friday. After 10 PM, it’s possible to park in front of the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) parking lot or Lots 15, 16, or 22. If you arrive before 10 PM, it is best to find a spot along Russell Blvd or as a last resort, park near the Mormon Church on Elmwood Dr.
By Plane
The closest airport to Davis is Sacramento International Airport. From there you can take the Davis Airporter Van Service, a taxi, or Yolobus (cheapest option).
Rideshare
In order to keep transportation costs low, we encourage our participants to use low-cost travel alternatives (buses, trains, carpools) whenever possible. In an effort to facilitate the formation of carpools between different attendees, we've created a rideshare board using a third-party website. To use this board, please follow this link to post a ride or join a waitlist for future rides.
NOTE: For obvious reasons, NASCO cannot be liable for people's experiences arranging rideshares or travelling to/from Institute (with others or alone). We advise our attendees to use best judgement when travelling with people who they don't know.
