Wren Leader

Wren Leader (they/them) is a recent graduate from the Oberlin College and its student cooperatives. During their time in OSCA, they worked as a Sexual Offense Policy Advocate, and cofounded Oberlin’s sexual violence prevention program. Their activism has been inspired heavily by the Transformative Justice/Community Accountability movements, particularly the work of INCITE, Mia Mingus, and Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha. As a nonbinary person heavily involved in queer and trans community, Wren has seen the ways that sexual violence--especially intimate partner violence--can fragment in activist communities, and the importance of an oppression-explicit model for addressing harm.
