NCBA CLUSA Presents: Coffee Origins

NCBA CLUSA, in partnership with the USAID Cooperative Development Program, invites you to an exclusive specialty coffee event to taste coffees from different origin countries and meet face-to-face with producers. Bringing co-ops and producers of high quality coffee to Washington D.C., learn about what makes a successful cooperative development program and network with specialty coffee producers.
 
The morning will start with a producer fair, where individuals can meet and learn about coffees from around the world including Central America and Southeast Asia, followed by presentations. After lunch, continue to network or sign up to participate in one of two exclusive quality cupping sessions, limited to 15 people each.
 
The Coffee Origins Fair will include coffee from these co-ops and producer groups:
 
Guatemala - FECCEG
El Salvador - Las Lajas Co-op
Honduras - CAPUCAS (invited)
Nicaragua - PRODECOOP 
Brazil - COOPFAM (invited)
Timor Leste - Cooperativa Cafe Timor (CCT)
Indonesia - Sulawesi, Aceh and North Sumatra regions

9:00 AM - 9:30AM - Registration and Breakfast provided
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM (and througout the day)  - Producer Coffee Fair
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Presentations (Spanish-English translation provided)
12:00PM - 1:00PM - Lunch Provided
1:30PM - Coffee Cupping Session (for inexperied cuppers)
3:00PM - Coffee Cupping Session (for experienced cuppers)
