Basic Info:

We're a 50-year-old housing co-op, incorporated as a realty trust. We're dedicated to mutual aid, affordable housing, and social justice. Our trust owns a rambling 5-bedroom house in West Medford, which has seen hundreds of residents pass through. Our goal as current members is to revisit our founding documents and processes in the hopes of preserving the co-op for another 50 years to come.

Mission Statement:

The S79 co-op exists to provide equitable, affordable housing and community services to its residents, to foster values of cooperation and care, and to enable its residents, and their broader community, to protect and aid each other.

We share all duties of cleaning, administration, and maintenance, with members arranging to divide tasks by inclination. Our goal is to have roughly equal weekly time demands for everyone.
