Co-op Details
As a housing cooperative with charitable organization status, we provide affordable housing to low- and very-low-income people in Michigan (though some of our members are extremely-low-income people). Broadly, we exist to expand both the number and diversity of housing cooperatives, include more communities in cooperative ownership, and to foster cooperative behavior and education. Thereby creating a Michigan where affordable cooperative housing is diverse, plentiful, and desired everywhere. Our members range from students to seniors; our current properties range from a 15-member house to 5-member duplexes. Our current projects are in Grand Rapids and Ypsilanti.
Address Michigan's affordable housing problem through innovative uses of cooperative housing approaches.
